- GMO wheat, such as the"semi-dwarf wheat" is not the type of wheat grown in most countries. I feel certain that the "genetic modification" is the problem...just like with GMO corn. - Read "Grain of Truth: the Real Case For and Against Gluten". 1% of the population have celiac disease. "Gluten free" is a fad and it's rather old by now. The real problem is that most people eat too much junky processed food including white flour and sugar. Eating whole wheat breads, especially made with a sourdough starter, is extremely beneficial and delicious. White flour and sugar is what's making you unhealthy. This guy (Davis) cherry picks facts. - I sure can't lose weight when I try to "moderately" include wheat. I just end up never feeling full. The number of medical conditions caused or aggravated by wheat is staggering.
- I don't know what went wrong with me but because I am a diabetic and all grains plus sugars makes my blood sugars going threw the roof but I trying the lchf diet and I am feeling great and my blood sugars are 80 to 90 points lower my readings are starting to go below 100 after twos hours of eating. I can't weight for my A1C reading in four months. my last reading was 10.
