- Not sure if anyone reading this can advise. I have been growing various variety for a few years. Not really had any problems. However, this year I have grown the variety call Silver queen. It's now week 8 and plants were 20cm tall at planting. We've had a warm year, plenty of sun and temps in the 75 +. The plants are now 8ft. But show no sign of fronds and or silks. Is there an issue.
