- So, I'm going to assume that this is a special variety of Sorgum bicolor, (like broomcorn), since it looks like it gets a fair bit taller than the grain/silage sorgum that the local farmers around here grow for cattle feed...

I wouldn't mind getting hold of some seed & planting a garden plot for personal/experimental purposes. :)
- Does the green stuff in the juice make it bitter? or is there another reason to remove it? By the way I really enjoyed the video.
- Kentucky girl here & I'm more than happy to let anyone and everyone know that sorghum (ONLY made in KY) is about as old as time itself. Keep making it exactly as you do because there is absolutely no flaw whatsoever in your recipe. Thank you for doin' what you do, sir.

P.S. this is Kentucky. if you're scared of a little bit spit...well, then - I fear to hear about all the other things that scare you. if the damn spit is part of the recipe - keep it or I swear I'll never eat another biscuit as long as I live. THANK YOU!

P.S. Why has it gotten so damn hard to find sorghum now? I live in Lexington and I only get the chance to buy it at smaller-town festivals.
- I'll buy. Don't you worry. Sorghum on fresh, hot buttered biscuits. Yum.
- Nice work, love that little harvester you used to cut down the cane. I used to do it with a machete - this looks way way better! :-)
- If spit or whatever did fell in there, it wouldn't be a problem for being that hot would sterilize it anyhow. If not, that's what your white blood cells are for, am I right?
- Indusfarm You are not from Kentucky nor are you aware of Kentucky law. If you were you would know that we were in state compliance. If you don’t like it then don’t watch and by all means please help yourself to not ever buy or eat any of our syrup. Because of the 20% of idiots in the world who talk about what they don’t know, or even want to take the time and learn about that causes the other 80% of us to have problems! Have yourself a nice day!!
- The making of syrup is a food inspectors nightmare. Lack of cleanliness is pretty disturbing. People talking over open cooking of syrup, not head cover, no spit guard, yuck!
