Awesome video.. I ordered the red corn varity..
- Can I start growing blue corn this late in Spring? June 13th. I live in So Cal.
- A neighbor grew this corn and I loved it's chewy goodness. (I boiled it). They'll not be gardening next year so I was wondering how I would get my blue corn fix in the future. Well done video, you give me hope, thank you!
- The three types of corn are sweet, field, and dent. I noticed you said field corn is not edible. I beg to differ. Field corn is the most used corn out of the three. It is used extensively in corn chips, tortillas, and most foods that contain corn flour like puffed chips. Anything that uses corn flour is almost certainly field corn. Popcorn is a field corn. Blue Hopi or Blue Maize is a field corn. An advantage of field corn is, it can be picked early and used just like sweet corn. You can pick the Blu Hopi corn early before it changes color and it's sweet. The sugars turn into starch as the corn ages. Believe it or not, sweet corn is the least used type of corn. Corn on the cob and canned corn make up less than 10% of the corn market. Dent corn is usually used for animal feed.
- i grew blue corn and the husk was also dark blue and purple. Is this Blue Maize Corn? I boiled it for `15 min. and it was still pretty tough. Is there another way prepare it for eating on the cob?

- The "not so sweet" corns are usually what we eat as popcorn! I usually dont wait till they dry for popcorn and eat them fresh on the cob! Im planning on growing the glass gem corn next year for the fresh cobs and i might leave some for popcorn too. I grew sweet corn once before but it didnt go so well, im hoping these changes im planning will make a better harvest!
- It's always a pleasure to watch your videos they are very educational and very detail, I notice that you grow a lots of plants in containers, I will probably doing the same thing next year, one question about growing ginger do you just put a piece of ginger into the dirt or do you have to wait until it has a little growth on them, you are so far the best gardener around, your teaching method are very thorough thank you again for showing us novice gardeners all the right ways to grow vegetables

- Love your vids.  Your methods really work for me here in Florida.  Thank you for sharing.
- I am growing red ruby corn but they are no where as tall and healthy as yours. They are about 2 ft tall and already developed small kernels. I think i might have to increase the fertilizer.

- Amazing video once again Charlie!!! (I call you Charlie, cause like in Charlie's Angels you never show your face...lol). I've always wanted to try to corn but thought I needed a big back yard to grow it. What month do you recommend we start growing it? Also, about how many corn did you harvest from one plant?!

Kudos to your son and to you for showing him the gift of gardening. My 5 year old daughter, our dog Peppa (named after Peppa Pig) and I call ourselves The Gardening Club cause when it comes to our little gardens we always do everything together. Of course Peppa is just nosy and follows us around nonetheless she's still part of our club.

How about giving us a tour of your garden. I would love to see it.

See you next time amigo! Thanks for this wonderful video, as always!
