Harvesting Oats 2018{

Combining our oat crop from this year. Yielded better than I expected even though we were lacking moisture. Old 914 combine pulls us through for another year, had to put in straw walkers though. Enjoy the video!.

Harvesting Oats 2018

- Love those old 914s. My dad and grandpa use to run theirs with a 1155 Massey. Last fall I was able to run my cousins 914 with a 5288 hooked it. Awsome set up.
- Very good. Reminds me of me 40 years ago. Keep learning all you can. The whole country is counting on young farmers like you. Proud of ya. Keep it up.
Tu polecam zerknąć implanty lublin mam nadzieje że pomogłem, - First combine I started on! 12 years old, 30 years ago! Now I'm in these new John Deere's with all the gadgets and LEDs, and I still think back to the 914.
- OH MY! Do you think that is FIRST? IT IS time to stop the video!

Bye!
- Had two of them for many many years ran one with a 4630 and 4640 deere then the second one we owned was ran with a 1586
- Hey great vid. Now is that white box on the top of the combine open on top? Or totally enclosed? Whats the purpose of that? Sorry not a farmer just curious
- I don't farm with much newer equipment I farm 1500 acres but just crop no cattle since dad sold them in the 2002 drought. I mostly grow wheat, canola, barley, flax, and oats but for milling. Dry here last spring so they didn't have a great start. My equipment is all stuff from the 80s and 90s but it gets the job done good and if I maintain it and goes through it good beforehand I don't really ever get any breakdowns. And it's all paid off so no payments. Busted the odd belt on the combine if I pushed it too hard and plugged it really bad but that's about it. I have Case rotary combine so I guess I don't have to worry about busting straw walkers I guess. I'm not too terribly far away from you guys. I'm in the northwest around the North Battleford area. You guys got some good dirt down around Bethune. Started any field work yet? I'm bunched and burned my flax straw today and a few cattails in the slough bottoms. Hoping to do some heavy harrowing here in a day or two that I didn't finish in the fall. Got the Flexi Coil 67 sprayer and my drill dragged up to the shop. Not much to do on the sprayer mostly some greasing and making sure everything electrical is working alright. Gotta put some new hoses and openers on the drill and might give both a touch of paint. I got time but may as well do what I can to get everything ready while the sun is shining and the birds are chirping and the beers are cold lol.
- How many acres Daly can working this 914 international
- Where abouts do u farm? I haven’t used my 914 in a few years. Good reliable machine. I miss it but had to upgrade as more acres and i too farm after 5 as well
- We had the straw walkers pile up in our combine when I was your age, it wasn't much fun we had to buy new ones.   I've never had a bumper crop either just like Dad.    You aren't going to want to get another old auger after using that fancy one, we put a new engine on our auger and it was $1800 and the engine was used.
- good job guys
i like the ending haha
- awesome video
