- Hello
I live in a country on the equator called Trinidad. In the garden I believe that I have a plant called Celosia cristata[1] also known as cockscomb.
I require help in identifying if a plant I have is Celosia cristata.
I require help in determining how to use the plant. For example which parts of the plants can be used, how they can be used and when to use by.
I am particularly interested in finding out how the flower is cooked.
If any pictures are required I can put these on you tube for viewing.

- Beautiful plant as well #nature
- Wow that is amazing. How much amaranth seed/grain did you get?
- Love the video. In Jamaica we have a plant called callaloo. Looks very similiar. You can look up how we prepare it. Rich in iron
- Hello, I grew amaranths because of your inspiration, I thought I would share. https://youtu.be/fvssefstnj0
- That's going to be some good smoke.
- Beautiful garden although a pretty tedious video to watch....
- You said you didn't plant it, it just started growing by itself. Do you know how it got there? I ask because I have been growing mine for a few years. I have no idea how the first one got in my garden. It just started growing. Now I have to control how many grow because they almost take over. Also what is the easiest way to deseed these monsters?

- Amaranth may be the next commercially grown grain.  It is highly nutritious.
- Would love to buy some seeds if you have any left! :D
- Can you send some amaranth seeds?  My Dad is quite interested.  We do have the "pigweed" variety, but the seeds are not sufficient.
- C'è qualcuno che parla italiano che mi può spiegare queste cose?

Grazie

- Thanks for sharing your delight at this awesome 'giant' in your garden.
