- hi
I am Turkish , Bulgur is our main staple food , more popular than rice .You can find lots of recipes made of bulgur ( mercimek köfesi -lentil meatballs , içli köfte , kısır are most famous of them.
.It was interesting to see it as breakfast cereal - we don't eat this way usually our breakfast is cheese tea olives etc , cereals are not popular .We cook it as rice (bulgur pilavı ) with meat in broth and have yogurt ayran onions with it.
loved your gorgonzola bulgur salad
thank you
- can you do a video on millet grains please Dani?!
- Is bulgur wheat concidered healthy and a good alternative to rice ? Can it be consumed on a daily basis ?
- Oh, thank you! I bought some, cooked it wrong and eww.
- I have some bulgur in the pantry and really want to eat it so this video is sooooo helpful.
- could you please explain wheat to me? I'm confused. I've started baking whole-wheat bread instead of white bread thinking I was making a healthier choice for my family. now I'm told that it's just as bad as white and I should cut wheat out completely because it causes visceral fat. I'm feeling overwhelmed 😣
- Love you channel Danie....I have some left over bulgar wheat and decided to make a warm cereal but didn't know where to start....so Thanks!!!😊
- I'm in the Republic of Ireland, bulgur we get here is white & looks really processed
- You should do 101 video about millet (I believe thats the proper word for that ingredient on english) . Its similar to rice or quinoa, but not so present (on videos of this kind) . Maybe even something about barley or rye -those ingredients (like the first one) were here in these areas even before wheat...
- I take Bulgar Wheat and Hulled Barley and grind them together 50/50 by weight and use it as a base to make cookies. I use eggs, apple sauce and almond milk, no oil; then I add whatever I want depending on the kind of cookie I want. They come out amazing! Soft and tender! I never actually ate Bulgar Wheat any other way.
- Hi Dani.  Please consider featuring recipes using bitter melon.
- Can I use this like "overnight oatmeal"?
- Ymmm....the salad is as yummy as the breakfast cereal, although at first thought, i was thinkin' this was the boiled wheat with lite syrup cherry preserves my Aunt Grace gave me one Christmas morn back in my teens while visiting her, but that wheat was whole, i think maybe sprouted, this bulgar wheat is totally worth lookin' into! Thumbs up Dani, thanks for sharin'! :)
- Hi Dani! Have you had amaranth? Would you do a 101 on it? In Mexico we make candy with it, and I think milk also.
- Thanks for the recipe ideas; now I'm definitely adding bulgur to my shopping list :)
- Hey dani! I really love your 101 videos, they're very informative and helpful. I was wondering if you could do a video on Tempeh / ways to prepare Tempeh. I've always used Tofu so i'm new to using Tempeh. I wanted to know if you had any tips on using Tempeh because it would be very useful. Thanks again and great video!
- Looks yummy!! I'm gonna buy some to try :)
- My favorite way to eat bulgur is mixed with rice and eat it warm with some homemade greek yogurt. It's simple and delicious. And sometimes when we have some of the bulgur/rice mix leftover we warm it up in the microwave put a fried egg on top and eat it. Another simply delicious way to eat bulgur!
- Lebanese dish called pumpkin Kibbeh which is so yummy.  Uses bulgar and pumpkin to make a dough and is stuffed with spinach spices and nuts and deep fried.  It's so yummy
