2021 Louisiana Wheat Harvest 4K - My first time in a wheat field !

- I see a lot of wheat which is laying down on at least one part of the field was that due a very heavy crop or was weather related issues?
- Very early
- Great video, good content and no stupid unnecessary background music.
- Good video as ever. - That's the only advantage of living in the UK. You can go out, pass a field of cows and sheep, then perhaps some maize, - field or two of grass (for silage) or hay, a bit farther on and some barley, oats, or cornfields, - 15 miles on and fields of sprouts, cabbages, cauliflower, even potatoes. Then some apple, cherry, or pear orchards, even strawberry fields. Perhaps one or two "specialist farms" (in between) that grow lettuce, spring onions, carrots, or (tomatoes in giant greenhouses). All that you could do no more than about 50 miles from where I used to live. Oh yes and by then you would have reached "The Coast" so why not buy some, 'fresh off the boat', (and it sure was), Shellfish, Oysters, Crab, Lobster, and of course Fresh Fish. - You wouldn't have known what to film first. - Have I made your mouth water as well.????
- Wow awesome video Buddy! Some places it sure was lodged but that MacDon header did a great job of picking it up! Sure glad you got to see this!!
- Krásné záběry!
- Thanks 🙏🏿 a couple of questions. Can you use the same equipment to cultivate rice? I would like some training or some voluntary work experience for a couple of weeks or so to pick up some vital skills, would that be possible?
- Great video as always. At one time a lot of farms used to grow winter wheat after the soybeans been harvested. Don't see that in the Houma area where I worked anymore.
- I had no idea they grow wheat in Louisiana!
- I went on wheat harvest with my dad every summer when I was a kid. We'd start in Southwest Oklahoma and finish in North Dakota. Then we'd go home in the Oklahoma Panhandle for corn and milo harvest. I spent a bunch of time in combine and tractor cabs.
- That intro is way to cool. I went to ville platte a few weeks ago and they were cutting wheat. It was my first time seeing it as well. I was scratching my for a few seconds trying figure out what it was
- Man the one part of the field looks heavy all laying down and the other looks like what Welkers combine in Montana, header down n stick her in road gear, lol
- Excellent video! Believe I took a picture of that combine couple months ago when I passed through cheneyville parked by a shed. Don't know if you know where the town of evergreen is in avoyelles parish but this past weekend there were two john deere s680 combines with 40' mac dons cutting wheat. They were on soucy tracks with some very large rear floater tires.
